Good Earth is one of my favorite coffee shops and the food is always pretty great. I have had a love affair with the Egg salad sandwich and the Rooibos Latte since I first found myself inside one of their cafes and was so sad when they took it off the menu. That said, they have added some amazing items to the line up that may have filled the void I feel for my precious egg salad – especially with their fall inspired comfort food additions.
I was invited to try some of the new menu items this October and I can say they did not disappoint. If you are looking for something to add warmth to the fall/winter season along with a great coffee, Good Earth would certainly be a great place to go.
Good Earth locations are always cool laid back atmospheres, comfortable seating and lots to choose from (whether you are looking for a snack or a beverage) and the friendly staff is a huge plus. You can enjoy the comfort and warmth of home without having to lift a finger in the kitchen – And for me a busy work that is a huge plus as I always seem to be on the go looking to find my next caffeine fix or quick healthy meal.
I had the opportunity to sample the Chicken Pot pie, The Sicilian Flat Bread and the Kale Pesto Flat Bread as well as pumpkin spice muffin, which didn’t make it into the photo gallery as my 3 year old devoured it leaving me only a small but sweet sample. 🙂
Winner for me (not by far) was the Kale Pesto Flatbread. The mixture of the asparagus, tomato, kale and feta cheese was right up my alley and a filling flavorful new addition. The Sicilian Flat break was a VERY close second – with 3 types of salami, olives and red peppers. And of course the Chicken Pot Pie – a new take on comfort food with a flaky warm herbed pastry on top that added crispiness to the creamy chicken goodness.
Vanilla Rooibos Latte – my old stand by a perfect addition to take away with me. But I did have the Pumpkin Spice Latte with the flat breads and I maintain that Good Earth’s version of our favorite fall coffee is far superior to it’s green & white competitor. If you haven’t tried one, I suggest you do.
